Vladimir Bieinisowitsch
Vladimir Bieinisowitsch is a Swiss independent filmmaker whose work moves between cultures, exploring intimacy, identity, and emotional resilience. He discovered cinema at an early age while working in a video store from 12, an experience that deeply shaped his visual language and narrative sensibility. After studying film in France in 2006, he continued to refine his craft through international training, including an online cinema program based in Canada.
He gained early recognition with his Super 8 short Waiting (2008). His work has since taken him across South Korea and Singapore, where he directed films such as A Normal Day in the Life (2014), The Story of Eduardo, and Delicate Strawberry.
With 72 and Tea Leaves & Lilies (2023), his voice matured into a distinctive blend of cultural observation and emotional depth, earning international awards and recognition.
He is developing Tteokbokki Stall (from 2023 to 2028), a cross-cultural drama set in Seoul, intertwining taekwondo, love, revenge, and resilience, featuring a Swiss lead actor alongside a predominantly Korean cast.
